In the UK Network Rail is using a different calendar than the typical one that starts on 1st Jan each year. For railways the year starts in April with week #1 being the first week of April. All communications and programme is using as reference this calendar which somehow needs to be demonstrated in the stage programme.
I believe that there should be an option to set a bespoke caldendar with starting at a date of choise which would match the client or stakeholder's ones with the option to allow the visibility of two different “Project week” bars from different calendars in the Gannt chart.
Jacqueline,
The project date Zero is working, but it does not reset after 52 weeks. The "Week" bar I was referring to could be a simple user custom setting of week's presentation in relation to the overall project week count with the ability to reset after a user set week count.
In the particular example, the Railway week count is being reset every year and every programme refers to their week count rather than the calendar days.
Dimitrios - Have you tried setting Project Date Zero?
You can specify any date as the Project Date Zero. This date determines the Focus time week and day counters.
What's missing though is the capability to "ignore" the non working weeks and days and only counts the working weeks and days. For example currently if week 2 is not a working week on a specific calendar, ideally week 3 should be week 2.
Maybe what should be introduced here is work week # and work day #
