Specify System ZERO when importing 3D model

Hello,

When importing a .step file from Solisworks into PDMS by specifying the shared coordinate, the model is imported in correct position. Nevertheless when importing the same step file in Synchro, the model is not in the right position (the same for Navisworks). I wonder if we can specify the System ZERO or the shared coordinate when importing model, the problem will be resolved.

Thanks!

    Hi Kate,

Sorry for my late answer! In fact the translating in import doesn't work in Synchro 6.0.1.2. Nevertheless the translating after import with relative option help bring my object to the correct position. It should be a bug of this SYnchro version. I don't know if this issu exists in SYnchro 2019.

By the way, what does it mean the system ZERO when calculatin of object in Synchro?

    Thanks

    Hi Quan Son,

Thanks for the feedback. Can you please send a sample .step file for us to test and tell us what the System Zero should be? You can send it to synchrosupport@bentley.com if it's too big to attach

    Hello,

I tried that but it's not the same as System Zero!

Have you tried translating the model on import?
