This would be another useful way of selecting geometry in groups. Sometimes you've created specific profiles or colours for certain trades or construction types. Being able to select everything in view using a particular profile would be a nice addition. i.e. Select all objects using 'Concrete Gang A'
This can be done now:
Add the column Resource Appearance Profile to the Gantt window
Find a Task that contains the Appearance Profile you want to filter on and right click in the Appearance Profile cell>Filters>Equals cell value.
Alternatively, right click in the column header>Custom Filter... and set the filter as desired
Now the Task list will show only tasks where the filtered Appearance Profile is used.
To select the objects using the Appearance Profile, select the filtered tasks, then right click on a selected task>Select Assigned Resources
If you also want to see only the objects based on the Appearance Profile: In the 3D Filters window, create a 3D Filter by Task Filter and Activate in selected 3D View. Optionally, uncheck Show Unassigned 3D Objects in the Task Filter tab
Now the 3D view will show only objects that use the selected Resource Appearance Profile
