Care must be taken when adding Lag values. This function did not work properly each time. The buttons in the task properties links dialog box were sometimes very touchy and did not function properly. In some cases the correct selection of a button with the mouse would cause the program to jump to the successor or predecessor, which was not the intended result.
If it cannot be consistently reproduced unfortunately there is nothing we can do here. I tried in the latest version and it cannot be reproduced. If you can catch a case that can be reproduced please let me know. I updated title of the idea as well.
Anyway, as I pointed out, we did an improvement when adding or modifying lag, lag value will be selected and ready for entry, which will be available in 6.5.
Hi Jacqueline,
The issue we were facing was not consistent across users. Sometimes lag would be easily updated, and sometimes when lag was being updated, SYNCHRO would jump to the predecessor/successor that was being updated. It didn't always happen for every user. This issue just appeared sporadically across multiple users.
Thank you for testing in 4D. That is good to hear that it is not a known issue at this point.
In 2022.1 (v6.5) already has an improvement to make editing lags easier.
When you click on the Lag field, the lag duration should be immediately highlighted and ready to edit, so all you have to do is type in the new duration.
However the described behavior "This function did not work properly each time. The buttons in the task properties links dialog box were sometimes very touchy and did not function properly. " cannot be reproduced in the latest version.
I can't reproduce this or identify an improvement. Maybe I can show you on the call.
