The functionality of the "Break Duration", particularly in the App is to reduce the paid period and therefore should be more clearly identified as an unpaid period to avoid inclusion of paid break durations and thereby having these periods wrongly deducted from "worked" hours.
Most Australian EBA identify the 30 min Weekday Shift Lunch break (during ordinary hours - Monday to Friday dayshift) as unpaid while all other lunch, meal and rest breaks are paid.
