In Control you have the ability to use the horizontal and vertical dimensioning when in the cross-section views. Would be nice to add these for field users.
Yes, I think you misunderstood what I was looking for. I'm aware you can use the distance command within the cross-section views but that doesn't give you a "dimensioning" type measurement which comes from those tools in the previous screenshot I attached. I attached another screenshot to clarify what I was looking for.
I may have misunderstood your request however I believe the functionality you require already exists in Field.
In the attached screenshot, I have selected an element in the Model. Under "Tools" I have selected "Cross section: perpendicular" and then, once I have the cross-section, I have clicked on Tools again and then "Distance", with this I am able to measure distance both vertically and horizontally.
Please let me know if this is what you are looking for?
Hi Ryan,
Thank you very much for the clarification, completely my misunderstanding and I appreciate the additional screenshot.
Let me discuss this with the development team and then come back to you with more information.
I have changed the Idea status from "Already exists" to "Future Consideration".
Kind regards,
Luke
