Design Change Management module is only available upon request. The current instruction for users is that users have to contact support for enabling Model Comparison (powered by iTwin). Once Model Comparison is enabled, users have to go to connect.bentley.com, navigate to the iModel Management portal of the iModel, and then click the "Enable" button to enable version comparison (see Attachment 1).
Suggestion
Users should be allowed to enable model comparison within SYNCHRO Control interface without extra request. The suggested interface adjustment can be found in Attachment 2 and 3.
Why do we need this?
SYNCHRO Modeler has launched Design Change Management module since the release of v3.5.0 (build 10.03.05.68) as one of the main modules (see Attachment 4). This module helps users track design changes by enabling comparison of quantity between 2 versions of design models based on the cost code assignment (see Attachment 5). This is a key functionality that connects the workflow from design to construction dynamically and seamlessly. Allowing to users to utilize this module without manual approval can not only largely increase the exposure and usage but also add significant value to the users.
