Supply Chain Implementation

Add in the full bidding cycle into Synchro, add in the following:

  1. Pre-Bid - Bid invitations, Invitations to Bid, Custom Bid Forms(Cost and Schedule), Add Deliverables Management or ProjectWise direct connection for drawings/spec upload

  2. Bidding - Send Package to Bidders, get proposals with Clarifications/Exceptions entered into Syncho, Cost Forms and Schedule forms filled out.

  3. Award - Award Vendor and provide new project permissions, provide Notification of none-award to losing bidders and remove access, Awarded price ports over to Synchro Cost that is compared to manually entered budget.

  4. Execution - Process Change Orders, Drawing Submittals of manufacturer prints(including document reviews and customizable workflows for contributor reviews and review consolidation.

    Thank you for submitting your idea. This is an incredibly broad topic and difficult to answer with a blanket statement. While we do not intend to become a vendor management system, there are many aspects of your idea that fit well within our scope and desired workflows. We are putting this idea as Future consideration because we are working on some parts already. We would suggest working with your Bentley consultants to understand current ways around this and limitations that can be discussed with the product leadership.

    Documents that go through multiple revisions and comment periods in the execution step should have a compare screen to show previous revision with comments/current revision. This would require the documents being uploaded have to be linked either by name or file ID similar to the way ProjectWise works.
