Thank you for submitting this idea. we are going to change the behavior of this tool now that we have over a year of burn in. the behavior moving forward will be that the media indexing service will be on by default and the administrator will have two option. 1) he can control access to Media indexing via a project Role 2) the admin can disable media indexing. so moving forward we can avoid the situation of admin intervention to enable this for projects.
