Currently, we can assign each user role a set of permissions (e.g. View, Create and Edit, Assign). With role-based access control, for each user, we can restrict access to workflow state changes of forms and form visibility. However, this is still lacking granularity for our users. At one step of the workflow, they may be required to have the assign permission but at another step, they may still need to view the form but not assign. Hence, role-based access control is insufficient to specify form permissions for our users.
We'd like to request if the SYNCHRO development team can consider implementing a function so form admins can assign user permissions to user roles at each workflow state.
Thank you for this idea. We understand the desire for it and will consider it for a future release.
As per picture
This function should be added in the edit status. Right under the Visible To Roles option. Same functionality, but users can select Roles that are allow to edit that staep (Status) in the work flow.
For example if the status is Manager Sign off, only the Managers to be able to change the Field on that step (Status). All other could view, but not change anything until it gets to their step in the worklfow
