Currently names of the 3d objects are not informational and cause inconvenience for distinguishing them.
Instead of naming all of them WorkAreaDetailingElement, it may be better to name this split objects by concatenating the inherited original object name and work breakdown area name.
In this example below, the names of the split objects will look like:
OBM_GirderConcrete-East Grading 1
[original object name]-[work area name]
This creates more intelligent construction model and ridges the gap between modeling and planning/scheduling as well.
This is very important to name them as per the workarea they belong to as users often wants to filter all the elements belonging to a particular workarea in synchro 4d pro. Or else manual selection becomes very difficult.
Please implement Jacqueline's and Daria's suggestions.
Still the improvement does not meet user's requirement.
A WorkDetailingElement's name contains an unique number which has no relation with the Work Area it belongs to - see the attachment.
User must create a property manually by manual selection of the elements belonging to the same Work Area. It takes a lot of time and will be extremly tedious with complex projects (intersections with mutiple alignments).
Users need a property which identifies in 4D Pro elements belonging to the same Work Area.
At the WorkAreaDetailingElement we would need 3D User Field with the uniq Work Area name, following the name provided in Modeler - it would allow Synchro 4D Users to filter 3D elements quickly and assign Resource Codes by UF with simple script.
Good idea Jacqueline
Looks like now the there is unique number added.
